Arbor View High School Freshmen Cheer Parent Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 13th at Arbor View High School @ 530PM in Room 513.  This is a MANDATORY parent meeting for any incoming Freshmen who wish to try out for the Freshmen Cheer Squad.  If you have any questions, please contact the Activities Office @ 799-6660 ext. 4204

The Mystery Character from yesterday is Kyle Kingsberry from the book Beastly. Congratulations to Jacqueline Mumford for guessing the correct answer. The library will be hosting a food drive. For each canned food item you bring in, you will get $1.00 off your late fees. This only applies to late fees, not lost or damaged books. You are welcome to bring in items even if you don’t owe any money. If you have late fees, you MUST give your canned items to Mrs. Baca so she can remove your late fees.

A ballot for each day of the week has been given to all teachers in their Nevada Reading Week packets. Ballots need to be sent down to the library by 9:00am. All 1st period classes with the correct answers will go into a drawing to win doughnuts. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, April 6th and the doughnuts will be given out Friday, April 9th.

ALL BEGINNING CHOIR STUDENTS WILL BE TRAVELING TO BONANZA HIGH SCHOOL TO PARTICIPATE IN THE “ALL CITY DISTRICT CHOIR FESTIVAL.”   ALL BEGINNING CHOIR STUDENT SHOULD REPORT TO THE CHOIR ROOM AT THE END OF FIRST PERIOD.

Any students who have lost items such as jackets, glasses, house keys, or lunch boxes may come and peruse through Lost and Found before school, during lunch, or afterschool.  Any items that have not been claimed by Spring Break will be donated to those in need.

After one week of collecting in 6th period classes the students of Escobedo Middle School have raised $616.11 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  We have one week left to collect money and are goal is to reach at least $1,000.00  Ms. Zinna’s class is still leading the pack but Ms. Romain’s class has moved into second place and Ms. Kendall’s class is in third.  With 3 days left in collection it is still anybody’s game so be sure to bring in your donations to put in your 6th period box.

Centennial High School Cheerleading Tryouts will be open to all boys and girls.  A parent and candidate meeting will be held this evening at 6pm in Centennial’s little theater.  All those interested MUST attend.

WE DID IT AGAIN!  Escobedom MS girls won against Sedway 52 – 17 and our boys won against Findlay 54 to 52!

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to both our girls and boys basketball teams who won the basketball games!  Escobedo girls 56 – 13, and our boys

won 50 – 38.

After our first two days of collecting money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society here are the standings.

In first place with a commanding lead is Ms. Zinna’s Class, Mr. Powell’s class in second with both Ms. Romain’s & Ms. Rodriquez’s classes in a very close third.
