eReaders
An eReader is an electronic device that allows you to download full text copies of books (for a fee most of the time). I am in the market to purchase an eReader. The most popular ones out currently are: Nook, Kindle and the Sony eReader. In April Apple has an iPad coming out as well. I am wondering if any of you have an eReader? If so, tell me about it. What do you like and dislike about it? Convince me as to which one I should buy. I’ve added some links to the three above.

The Kindle! Even though I do not own any of those. You want quality, and that is something that the Kindle has. Plus, it’s from Amazon, pretty much every single book is on Amazon.com, so more than likely a whole lot of books are going to have the ability to be downloaded from Amazon.com to your Kindle, and it even says that it’ll be downloaded in less than a minute!! Awesome! I wish I could get the Kindle, but having a book in your hands can make you smile either way.
i have the sony reader. something that you can do with it that i dont think any other ebook reader is that you can check out books from the public library website. you dont even have to go to the library to check them out. you can do it from home. the books on the store is like itunes.the books in the store are cheaper than when they are printed. so eventually the thing pays for itself. the more expensive one even has a dictionary and you can highlight stuff. i highly reccomend the sony reader
Hey Mrs. Baca, I found a website that compares all 3 in a graph. You should definitely check it out!

It is helping me decide which one to get!
I just came back form the public library. While I was there, I talked to this lady at the reference desk about the kindle and library being able to put books on the Kindle from the library website. She said no, BUT the Nook and sony Reader can. The Kindle can not because it’s under Amazon’s control. So, that pretty much makes a shorter variety for me
Thanks Racheld8 for providing the website that compares the e-readers. I am also interested in purchasing an eReader… still haven’t decided which one to go with. The Kindle, Nook, and Sony e-reader all have their pros and cons.
Your welcome Mrs. Torres! Hope you enjoy the one that you choose!
