Brief Summary: Sweet 16′s is a very competetive time, with these girls it turns into one giant mess. At the end, I guess everything turned out like it was supossed to.
I am a computer nerd, I admit it… I love the newest and coolest technology on the market. What gadget do you have that you couldn’t live with out? What are the pros and cons of this item? How does it simplify your life? Convince me that I need to run out and buy it. I may already have it and if not, I may have to take your advice and purchase this must have device.
Girls are encouraged to participate in the Girls Book Club. It is free, fun, and meets every Tuesday from 2:15 to 2:45pm in rotating locations between the library and room 620… Advisors: Mrs. Sapp-Denne and Mrs. Baca.
Book of the Month: The girls book club is currently getting ready to read The Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. Summary: Two years after a horrible incident made them run away, vampire princess Lissa and her guardian-in-training Rose are found and returned to St. Vladimir’s Academy, where one focuses on mastering magic, the other on physical training, while both try to avoid the perils of gossip, cliques, gruesome pranks, and sinister plots.
Escobedo has concluded their first Scholastic Bookfair for the 2008-09 school year. Our Family Night featured a skate demo by the 702 Skate Kreu. Overall, the bookfair was a success and sales were phenomenal. Thanks to those who supported the bookfair!
I’m sure you have seen the “What are you Reading?” pockets next to each classroom door. I’m currently reading The City of Ember (movie coming October 10, 2008). If you have read this book, tell me what you thought of it, without giving away the ending please. My question to you is: “What should I read next and why?”
I am so proud to be your new librarian! My goal is to make make this the best library in CCSD. Please let me know what you like so far and what changes could be made to improve.
